Brews to Benefit Local Children and Families

United Way Volunteer Friday

Dec.06, 2019

You’re invited to join United Way on Volunteer Friday, December 6.

Celebrate the power of volunteerism with United Way by creating Books and Basics kits, which include a book, a related prop created by volunteers, as well as gloves and a hat.

United Way’s vision is a community where opportunities are available for every child to succeed in school and for every family to achieve financial security. One way we accomplish this is by building home libraries and ensuring that children have access to age-appropriate books and basic essentials.

Help keep children warm this season while building their home libraries. Will you join us?

Date: Friday, December 6 | Time: 9:00-11:00 a.m. OR 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Location: United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut | 30 Laurel Street | Hartford, CT

RSVP: volunteer.unitedwayinc.org

Did you know? Children who read proficiently by the start of fourth grade are more likely to graduate high school on time. Your time will help children develop a love of reading and keep them warm, healthy and in school this season.
