Initiatives: Employer Partnerships

We achieve impact by convening employer partnerships that develop innovative solutions to address their workforce needs, with a special focus on promoting better opportunities for underserved populations, including young adults and female participants in the labor market.

We currently support two mature flagship partnerships with almost 300 employer members – the Advanced Manufacturing Employer Partnership (AMEP) and the Metro Hartford Alliance for Careers in Healthcare (MACH.)

The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technologies  (CCAT) serves as the intermediary for AMEP, and Capital Workforce Partners (CWP) serves as the intermediary for MACH.

We are launching a third employer partnership in Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics with funding from the National Fund for Workforce Solutions. Capital Workforce Partners will serve as the workforce intermediary for this new partnership.

In addition to supporting industry-specific employer partnerships, we provide leadership for systems changes that make labor markets more effective. We focus our efforts on individuals that have in the past and continue to face barriers to meaningful employment opportunities, and we see our work through the lens of addressing challenges related to race, equity and inclusion.
