Kate Blackburn Selected as a 2025 Honoree of Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty

United Way is thrilled to recognize the selection of Kate Blackburn, its Director of Marketing and Communications, as a 2025 honoree of Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty.

Blackburn, who joined United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut in 2017, assumed her role as Director in 2023, bringing her strong background in marketing and a genuine desire to create impact in the communities our organization serves. Most recently, Blackburn led a multimedia campaign that celebrated and amplified United Way’s brand through the organization’s centennial milestone. Under her leadership, our United Way participated as an early adopter to locally implement our network’s global brand refresh, for which we received national recognition.

United Way is excited to celebrate leaders who inspire others and serve as role models in the community, leading the way to achieve the organization’s mission to end poverty in the 860 region.
