NONPROFITS: REGISTER NOW FOR 860GIVES, CENTRAL AND NORTHEASTERN CONNECTICUT’S BIGGEST GIVING MOVEMENT

Second annual 48-hour fundraising campaign powered by United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut aims to close critical funding gaps

Hartford, CT (October 13, 2026) – United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut today announced the launch of 860Gives, a 48-hour online giving campaign that will take place between 12:00 p.m. March 29 through 12:00 p.m. March 31, 2027. The campaign will directly impact local nonprofits by leveraging digital fundraising and the power of social networks.

501(c)(3) organizations that are Patriot Act-compliant and are based in or serve United Way’s 56 towns are invited to participate in this collective fundraising effort. Nonprofits can register at 860Gives.org now through February 1, 2027.

“At a time when nonprofits are navigating increased competition for funding, 860Gives provides a powerful way to elevate their missions and reach new supporters,” said Eric Harrison, President and CEO of United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut. “By bringing organizations together under one region-wide giving movement, together we create new opportunities for fundraising, collaboration and community engagement. Every gift helps strengthen the nonprofit sector and advance meaningful change throughout the 860 region.”

860Gives strives to facilitate hundreds of thousands of donations to 150+ nonprofits in the region through a user-friendly online fundraising platform. Individual donors can give directly to participating organizations or create their own peer-to-peer fundraising pages for their favorite causes.

All registered nonprofits will be able to download a comprehensive toolkit featuring customizable promotional materials and tips to maximize their success and participate in information sessions and webinars to guide their participation.
