Hartford, Conn. (June 14, 2019) – United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut today announced that local workplaces will now have the opportunity to leverage Salesforce.org Philanthropy Cloud to provide both a seamless and transparent giving and volunteering experience for their employees. Furthering the mission of United Way and Salesforce.org, Philanthropy Cloud connects employees to causes in a simple way, and now features a volunteering capability, offering employees increased flexibility in how they connect with and contribute to the causes they care about.
“The introduction of Philanthropy Cloud has accelerated the conversations that we have with our corporate partners,” said Paula S. Gilberto, President and CEO, United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut. “We now talk specifically about the impact their employees want to make and what success looks like to them. Through the Philanthropy Cloud tool, we will be able to partner in new ways to impact more lives for the better.”
“The Philanthropy Cloud platform is the cornerstone of United Way’s commitment to changing how employers empower their employees to effect real change in their communities; and to creating a real community of philanthropy in the workforce,” said Brian Gallagher, President and CEO, United Way Worldwide. “With our new volunteering capability, we are poised to help businesses mobilize their full game-changing potential in the communities where their employees live, work and play. We are excited by the momentum we’re seeing around Philanthropy Cloud and look forward to continuing to work with employees and employers in more ways to advance our fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community.”
