In response to the 10 percent rise in people in our region experiencing homelessness, United Way is mobilizing people and resources through our Rapid Response Fund. Our goal is to keep people secure or stabilize housing.
Dollars given to the United Way Rapid Response Fund will help ensure that people have a safe and stable place to call home this winter. Please join us in helping our neighbors this winter by making a gift.
Cities and towns in United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut’s service area may apply to receive Rapid Response Fund resources by clicking the link above.
The following towns have signed up to participate in the Rapid Response Fund so far:
Avon, Berlin, Bloomfield, Bristol, Canton, Coventry, East Granby, East Hartford, East Windsor, Eastford, Ellington, Enfield, Glastonbury, Granby, Hartford (call 311, requires in-person visit), Hebron, Manchester, Marlborough, New Britain, Newington, Rocky Hill, Scotland, Somers, South Windsor, Suffield, Tolland, Vernon, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Windham, Windsor, Access Community Action Agency (servicing the towns of Andover, Ashford, Bolton, Brooklyn, Canterbury, Chaplin, Columbia, Hampton, Killingly, Mansfield, Plainfield, Stafford, Sterling, Union, and Willington), Human Resources Agency of New Britain (servicing the town of Plymouth), and TEEG (servicing the towns of Pomfret, Putnum, Thompson, and Woodstock)

• If you live outside our 56-town service area, please contact your local United Way to see if assistance is available in your community.
• United Way can only provide assistance through referrals from your city or town – we cannot provide assistance to people who contact us directly.
