United Way > United Way Readers

Read with kids, Have fun, Make a difference!

At United Way, our vision is a community where every child has the opportunity to succeed in school.

One example is United Way Readers, a program that pairs a volunteer reader with a student for an academic year (with help from United Way, teachers, the school and the school district) to support children struggling to read on grade-level.

Our United Way brings people and resources together to find long-term solutions to challenging problems, such as making sure children get the best education possible. Reading on grade-level is a key indicator for graduating high school on time prepared for college or career, increasing a child’s opportunity for future success.

Your support helps United Way today and strengthens our community for generations to come. Join us – live your purpose and create positive, lasting change through the gift of your time.
