When I think of the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut, the word community comes to mind. It is only through their partnership and commitment to serving people most in need…especially the most marginalized in our community… that nonprofit organizations, like YWCA Hartford Region, are able to provide the critical programs and services vital for building and sustaining healthy communities.
United Way supports YWCA Hartford Region’s programs that focus on providing affordable early learning and childcare to working families; ensuring single mothers remain in college in order to graduate and obtain jobs with family sustaining wages; and ensuring Hartford residents experiencing homelessness have a safe place to call home.
We simply cannot make an impact without the generous support of the United Way and their donors. Together, we can and will bring our vision to life and create unlimited opportunities for the women, girls and the families we serve.
