UNITED WAY ADVOCATES FOR ALICE AMIDST THE BABY FORMULA SHORTAGE
Eric Harrison, President and CEO, United Way, recently joined Senator Richard Blumenthal at a press conference at Connecticut’s Capitol to advocate for ALICE* families, especially households of color, who are disproportionately affected by the baby formula shortage and urged residents to call 211 for free information and referral services.
*ALICE is a United Way-coined acronym that stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
