Director, Leadership and Major Giving
United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut
Tuesday, January 31 2023 | 12:00 – 1:00 P.M.
Please join us to celebrate how donations from individuals like you, and gifts of time and talent, are creating lasting positive impact in our community for those struggling to make ends meet.
United Way is passionate about connecting people with causes they care about most. Recently, Julie DeLucca-Collins, United Way leadership donor and leadership volunteer within Women United, interviewed Eric Harrison, President and CEO, United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut on her Casa deConfidence podcast where they discussed how giving back can increase your happiness and success.
While United Way needs our community’s support year-round, the end of the calendar year is a popular time when donors make charitable gifts. In recognition of this, Eric Harrison, President and CEO, United Way, invited Irene Bassock, a member of United Way’s Board of Directors and founding member of United Way Women of Tocqueville, and Jane Banks, Executive Director, South Park Inn (a United Way-supported partner organization), to have a conversation about their “why” and how dollars make a meaningful difference in the lives of people in our region.
United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut awarded $1.9 million to support 56 programs across our region in response to the current pressing needs individuals and families are facing due to inflation and the ongoing economic impacts resulting from the pandemic.
Starting this month, we are inviting input from women to help inform Women of Tocqueville’s focus and engagement strategies to support innovative and impactful solutions to issues affecting the well-being of families and children through virtual and in person listening sessions. Will you join us? Please email Kim Reeves at kreeves@unitedwayinc.org to learn more and sign up for a session.
