Hartford Courant Names United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut A Winner Of The Greater Hartford Top Workplaces 2026 Award

Hartford Connecticut (September 29, 2026) – United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2026 honor by Hartford Courant. This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage  LLC. The confidential survey measures the employee experience and its component themes, including employees feeling Respected & Supported, Enabled to Grow, and Empowered to Execute, to name a few.

United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut invited a total of 55 staff members, including full-time and contracted employees, to participate in the survey. Forty responses were received, resulting in a participation rate of 73%.

“The employee engagement survey is a valuable tool that the organization uses to measure employee satisfaction, morale, and engagement. It is an important resource to help shape our strategies to attract, engage, and retain top talent with the goal of advancing our mission to end poverty,” shared Helen Bergin, Human Resources Director at United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut.
