In response to the 13 percent rise in people in our region experiencing homelessness, United Way is mobilizing people and resources through our Rapid Response Fund: Housing and Homelessness campaign. Our goal is to keep people secure or stabilize housing.
Cities and towns in United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut’s service area may apply to receive Rapid Response Fund resources by clicking the link above.
United Way 211 – Visit 211ct.org or dial 2-1-1 then press option 3 if you or someone you know is currently or at-risk of experiencing homelessness.
United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut is partnering with municipalities to help residents get resources they need with the Rapid Response Fund.
• If you live in our 52-town service area, please contact your town’s Social Services office or Town Hall to learn more about next steps.
• The following towns have signed up to participate in the Rapid Response Fund so far:
Avon, Enfield, Granby, Manchester, Somers, South Windsor, Tolland, West Hartford, Windham, Windsor
This list will be updated as more cities and towns sign up each week.
• If you live outside our 52-town service area, please contact your local United Way to see if assistance is available in your community.
• United Way can only provide assistance through referrals from your city or town – we cannot provide assistance to people who contact us directly.
