United Way 211

The 411 on 211

In Connecticut, we are fortunate to have one number that people can call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year to be connected to critical resources. That number is 211. United Way 211 is Connecticut’s statewide information and referral line that connects people to resources for housing, child care, food, utility assistance, mental health services and much more.

In response to the pandemic, United Way 211 stepped up, serving as a primary point of contact for people who had questions about the coronavirus and supporting those affected by the economic impacts of the pandemic. 211’s dedicated call specialists have been supporting people in our state throughout the pandemic and continue that work to ensure that people are connected to the services and support they need.
