Exploring Mircroaggressions

Have you ever been in a situation where someone made a statement or gesture that did not feel right to you? Microaggressions are often unconscious actions or statements that may impact others without the micro aggressor even knowing. 

This event will explore microaggressions defining what they are and how they are harmful. LeRon will discuss what it is to practice allyship and share personal stories as well as stories of colleagues and family. Throughout the event, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a dialogue related to recognizing, addressing, and combating microaggressions, all in a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment.

Connecticut United Ways response to COVID-19 

Collectively, Connecticut United Ways have been working toward creating communities that are equitable and inclusive. While each of us has been affected by COVID-19 differently, the pandemic has emphasized the health and economic inequalities of people of color. Funds raised through this event will directly support local individuals and families most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
