Collaborative of Metro Hartford

OUR VISION:
A community where under-represented job seekers have access to opportunities to acquire the education, skills and experience that enhance their economic security and the competitiveness of local employers.

OUR MISSION:
Workforce Solutions Collaborative of Metro Hartford invests in employer-led and worker-centered approaches to connect job seekers to quality jobs with opportunities for advancement and increased earnings.

We are part of the National Fund for Workforce Solutions network of 33 communities across the country that are taking a demand-driven, evidence-based approach to workforce development.

We have created three employer partnerships since 2008 in manufacturing; health care; and, transportation, distribution and logistics with a current combined strength of more than 300 members. During that time, we have facilitated trainings and job placements for more than 1,200 members of our community.

WHO WE ARE:
We are a funders’ collaborative, bringing together national, regional and local investors to pool resources around a shared strategic vision for workforce development.

WHAT WE DO:
We co-invest in and champion industry partnerships that help create a vibrant workforce of skilled candidates that meet employers’ needs and we promote equity and access to quality job opportunities by reducing the barriers to education and training.
